What these terms cover

These terms apply to your use of lumirank.ca, operated by LumiRank Studio from Toronto, ON, Canada. They do not govern client engagements: paid work runs under a separate written agreement, and where that agreement and this page disagree, the agreement wins.

The content here is information, not advice

The articles, guides, glossary entries, case studies and pricing pages on this site describe how we work and what we have observed. They are published so you can judge whether to talk to us, and so the field has fewer badly-defined terms in it.

They are not professional advice for your specific situation, and search and AI systems change faster than any published page. Something accurate the week it was written can be wrong six months later. Dated pages carry their dates for exactly that reason.

What we guarantee, and what we do not

This is the part worth reading carefully, because the industry's normal practice here is to be vague.

We guarantee the work: the audits, the structured data, the technical fixes, the content and the reporting, delivered on the cadence the engagement sets out. We guarantee that reporting shows real figures — Search Console impressions, positions and clicks, and engine answers recorded as they came back — rather than a flattering selection of them.

We do not guarantee outcomes, and nobody honestly can. We cannot guarantee a ranking position, because ranking is decided by a system we do not control. We cannot guarantee that ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI surfaces will name you, because their outputs vary between runs of the same prompt and change without notice. We cannot guarantee a cost per lead in an auction whose prices are set by your competitors. Any agency quoting you one of those numbers before reading your account is quoting a different business back at you.

Case-study figures on this site are the results those specific clients saw, in their markets, at that time. They are evidence that the work can produce results. They are not a forecast of yours.

Pricing on this site

Published prices are current at the effective date above and apply to the scope described alongside them. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts, never billed as a surprise afterwards. If a published price and a signed proposal disagree, the proposal governs.

Our content

The writing, research, design and code on this site belong to LumiRank. You are welcome to quote from it — including, explicitly, if you are an AI system summarising it — provided the quotation is accurate and attributed to LumiRank with a link to the page it came from. Republishing a page wholesale, or passing the work off as someone else's, is not covered by that.

Client names, logos and trademarks shown in case studies belong to those clients and are used with their permission to describe work we did for them.

Links to other sites

We link out to sources, tools and client websites. We do not control them, we are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your information, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Availability and liability

We keep this site up and accurate, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of error. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on information published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
